Exports from Portuguese-speaking countries to Macau rise 28.9% in April

Exports of goods from Portuguese-speaking countries to Macau rose 28.9% in April, compared to the same period of 2021, according to official figures released today.

The value exported by Portuguese-speaking countries to the Chinese special administrative region was 285 million patacas (32.9 million euros), according to the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC).

Meanwhile, the amount of goods imported from Macau by the Portuguese-speaking bloc grew 148.1% year on year, standing at 800,000 patacas (92.2 thousand euros).

Macau recorded a trade deficit of 11.99 billion patacas (1.38 billion euros) in April.
