Vietnam’s Xuan Thien Group (XTG) — a diversified business conglomerate — has expressed interest in expanding its investments in Angola, with new projects planned across the agriculture, mining, energy, and oil sectors, following an audience granted by Planning Minister Victor Hugo Guilherme.
The group presented a review of its existing investments in the country, highlighting results achieved in the agricultural sector, where it develops cassava production projects using advanced technologies, alongside industrial processing initiatives and farmer capacity-building programmes.
During the meeting, XTG Chairman Nguyen Vãn Thien outlined new investment projects earmarked for the mining, energy, and oil sectors, reaffirming the group’s commitment to continued investment in Angola and its contribution to the country’s economic development, with expected impact on job creation, technology transfer, and the valorisation of national resources.
Planning Minister Victor Hugo Guilherme reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining a favourable environment for private investment, stressing that cooperation with international partners remains an essential instrument for accelerating economic diversification, fostering sustainable development, and driving economic growth in Angola.
