Angola to Host 17th US-Africa Business Summit Next June

Angola will host the 17th United States-Africa Business Summit between 23 and 27 June next year, in the same year that it celebrates its 50th anniversary of independence, the Angolan presidency announced on Thursday.

The event will bring together government, business and investor leaders from both continents to strengthen economic and trade ties and promote investment opportunities, innovation and partnerships between the public and private sectors, with a focus on infrastructure, energy, technology, agriculture and industry.

The summit, organised in collaboration with the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA), “marks an important moment for Africa and the sustainable development of its economies, while strengthening relations with the American market”, the presidency’s press release stresses.

The same source also mentions the symbolic nature of holding this summit in Luanda, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Angola’s independence, which will be celebrated on 11 November 2025.

This global forum, which has been held for more than two decades, “strengthens commercial relations between African and American companies, providing a platform for dialogue between leaders and investors, with the aim of catalysing new projects and partnerships that boost sustainable economic development on the African continent”.
