Tempus Global Group recently presented the results of the first National Survey on Benefits and Human Capital Management, conducted in Angola with 120 organizations from the private sector, public sector, NGOs, and cooperation agencies. Among various findings, the survey revealed that Angolan employees consider the 13th salary as the leading compensation and benefits item.
The survey, previously conducted by the company in other countries such as Mozambique, was available for four months and involved participation from approximately 120 companies across different sectors.
According to Tempus Global Group CEO, Iraci Jane, the study’s objective is “to map the most common benefits practiced in Angola and compare them with global trends,” providing practical tools for HR professionals to improve human capital management.
The study is based on five main pillars: compensation and benefits, career development, work environment, organizational culture, and work-life balance. The 120 companies surveyed will have access to the detailed report, while a summary has been shared publicly.
The survey highlights that among the most important benefits identified by HR professionals, the 13th salary stands out as the most valued by employees, followed by health insurance as the second most impactful benefit, and then meal and vacation allowances.
Most workers represented in the survey are under 41 years old, an age group characterized by starting families and seeking new professional growth opportunities. In this context, career development emerges as the factor most valued by employees, reflecting a trend aligned with international standards.
