The Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas (MIREMPET) announced on Wednesday (21) the organization of a Conference and Exhibition on Local Content in Angola’s Oil Sector, to be held from 26 to 27 March in Luanda.
The event, under the theme “Local Content: A National Commitment,” will bring together government entities, academics, and civil society with regulators, operators, and service providers in the oil sector, for a comprehensive discussion on the evolution of Local Content in light of Presidential Decree No. 271/20 of 20 October.
According to MIREMPET, the conference is promoted by the National Agency for Oil, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG), in partnership with Sonangol, and will be organized by the company PetroAngola. The agenda includes thematic and technical panels, as well as an exhibition of products, services, and solutions developed by companies in the sector.
More than 200 companies are expected to participate in the event to showcase their technical and operational capabilities and to promote partnerships focused on technology transfer, workforce training, and local investment.
“MIREMPET calls on all partners and stakeholders to participate, reinforcing the collective commitment to an inclusive, resilient oil industry oriented toward the country’s sustainable development,” the statement reads.
