Yesterday, May 13, the National Social Security Institute (INSS) awarded Green Certificates to 300 companies. The purpose of this certificate is to officially recognize companies that have consistently paid their employees’ social security contributions for 10 years
Overall, companies and institutions from various sectors received the certificate, representing hope for future generations. Among those recognized are Sonangol Distribuidora, Ensa Seguros, the Ministry of Health, Rádio Nacional de Angola, Macon Transportes, Total Energies, Moniz Silva Internacional, and Clínica Sagrada Esperança.
With the Green Certificate, an institutional recognition, the contributing entity gains value, reputation, and trust in the market, according to the organization. The certificate, accompanied by an honorable mention, is awarded to companies and institutions that have contributed regularly to the INSS for a minimum period of 10 years, with no late payments in the last six months. In this initial launch phase, the companies were selected from the INSS’s electronic system.
For Anselmo Monteiro, chairman of the INSS Board of Directors, the event serves as a gesture of recognition, justice, and gratitude toward those who have never failed to fulfill their contribution obligations to Angola. Anselmo Monteiro hopes the ceremony will inspire others to follow the same path of legality, transparency, and collective solidarity that underpins the mandatory social protection system.
