Consultancy for the Development of a Mapping of Local Organizations and Initiatives on Women, Peace, and Security in Mozambique
Introduction
The Institute for Multiparty Democracy (IMD) is a civil society organization working to strengthen the democratic system by supporting the institutional development of political parties, assisting with reforms of democratic institutions, and facilitating multiparty dialogue sessions and dialogue among political and social actors.
As part of the Promoting Democracy Project, there is a need to hire a Consultant or consulting team to conduct a Mapping of Local Organizations and Initiatives within the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) agenda, in the context of the Promoting Democracy project, funded by the Embassy of Ireland.
Objective of the Call for Proposals
To identify and map civil society organizations, local initiatives, networks, and relevant actors working to promote the Women, Peace, and Security agenda in Mozambique, contributing to the strengthening of collaborative networks, knowledge production, and support for public policy formulation.
Scope of Services
The mapping will be nationwide in scope, focusing on:
Organizations led by women and youth;
Formal and informal community initiatives;
Structures for mediation, dialogue, and peacebuilding;
Key actors in the peace, security, and governance ecosystem.
Expected Deliverables
Mapping report (min. 40 pages);
Structured database of actors;
Visual map (geographic and institutional);
Executive summary with strategic recommendations.
Deadlines for Proposal Submission
Interested parties must submit their proposals by May 18, 2026, via email to concurso@imd.org.mz with a Cc to nizia.osman@imd.org.mz, using the subject line: “Call for Proposals: Mapping of Local Organizations and Initiatives on Peace, Security, and Governance.” Each Candidate must send only one email (all attachments must be included in a single email, which may be in a zip file).
