Consultancy for the Development of a Mapping of Organizations and Local Initiatives on Women, Peace and Security in Mozambique
Introduction
The Multipartite Democracy Institute (IMD) is a civil society organization that works to strengthen the democratic system by supporting the institutional development of political parties, providing assistance to democratic institutional reforms, facilitating multiparty dialogue sessions, and promoting dialogue between political and social actors.
Under the framework of the Promoting Democracy Project, there is a need to hire a Consultant or Consultancy Team to develop a Mapping of Organizations and Local Initiatives within the scope of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda, in the context of the Promoting Democracy Project, funded by the Embassy of Ireland.
Objective of the Tender
To identify and map civil society organizations, local initiatives, networks, and relevant actors working to promote the Women, Peace and Security agenda in Mozambique, contributing to the strengthening of collaboration networks, knowledge production, and support for public policy formulation.
Scope of Services
The mapping exercise will have nationwide coverage, focusing on:
- Women- and youth-led organizations;
- Formal and informal community initiatives;
- Mediation, dialogue, and peacebuilding structures;
- Relevant actors within the peace, security, and governance ecosystem.
Expected Deliverables
- Mapping report (minimum 40 pages);
- Structured database of actors;
- Visual map (geographical and institutional);
- Executive summary with strategic recommendations.
