International oil company Puma Energy plans to open 15 new fuel stations in Mozambique by the end of this year, reinforcing its presence across the country.
According to a statement issued by the company, the expansion will involve investment in infrastructure, service quality, and new solutions to meet consumer needs. Safety — for people, workers, and equipment — will remain among the company's core priorities.
"We are in a very significant expansion process and, this year alone, we will add 15 new stations to our network," said Paulo Varela, Managing Director of Puma Energy in Mozambique. He added that the company intends to offer modern and innovative solutions while maintaining a focus on infrastructure quality, brand standards, and safety.
One of the most recent examples of this expansion is a new fuel station inaugurated at Casa Jovem, in Maputo, during the 61st edition of the Maputo International Trade Fair (FACIM 2026). The unit is integrated into a commercial centre designed to provide essential services to more than 1,500 families living in the development and the surrounding communities.
The station combines fuel supply with retail outlets and other services, facilitating access for residents and other customers in the area. The opening fits within Puma Energy's strategy of bringing its services closer to the communities in which it operates.
The inauguration coincided with Puma Energy's return to FACIM after a nine-year absence. Under the concept "Dá Start", the company showcased its range of products and services, strengthened relationships with clients and partners, and sought new business opportunities.
The company's participation in the fair aimed to encourage individuals and businesses to seize opportunities and move forward with new projects. For Puma Energy, the opening of the Casa Jovem station also represents a broader reinforcement of its presence in the city.
"One of our commitments is to energise the local communities where we operate. Puma Energy's presence at Casa Jovem marks the beginning of a new phase, in which our footprint in the city will become increasingly visible and relevant to the communities we serve," Varela said.
According to the statement, as part of its growth strategy in Mozambique, Puma Energy is also preparing to launch new loyalty products designed to offer benefits to consumers who use its services in their daily journeys. The company intends to continue working with its partners to develop new solutions and improve the overall customer experience.
