The city of Pemba, provincial capital of Cabo Delgado, is today, May 30, the stage for the Energy and Industry Summit, an event that brings together representatives of the Government, private sector, academia and civil society to discuss the future of these sectors in the country.
This is an initiative that will take place in two phases, the first edition of which starts today in Pemba, and the second will be in Maputo on June 6 and 7.
The opening ceremony will be conducted by the Prime Minister, Adriano Maleiane, representing the President, Filipe Nyusi.
To this end, the Minister of Industry and Trade, Silvino Moreno, who spoke Monday at the welcome meeting, “Cabo Delgado is a province of opportunities, in the panorama of economic and social development of the country, despite the challenges related to terrorism.
In his turn, the Secretary of State of Cabo Delgado, António Supeia, said that one of the objectives of this summit is to promote the participation of all stakeholders in the process of reconstruction of the province.
