The Head of State’s visit to the East African country will revitalize the friendly relations between the two countries and strengthen bilateral cooperation.
President Filipe Nyusi may visit one of the great farms of Uganda, to gather experience in the chain of production and agro-processing of agricultural products.
Likewise, the Mozambican Head of State may visit some historical sites of the Republic of Uganda and attend a state banquet to be hosted by his counterpart, Yoweri Museveni.
Uganda, with about fifty million inhabitants, is one of the five largest producers of bananas and sweet potatoes in the world, the eleventh largest producer of coffee, in addition to having large productions of sugar cane, corn, cassava, beans, among other products.
In livestock, the Republic of Uganda excels in cow milk production (1.8 billion liters in 2019).
It is in this and other aspects that the visit of the Head of State, Filipe Nyusi, may open good prospects for Mozambique to achieve, in the short and medium term, the industrialization agenda.
