The pilot Paulo Oliveira, who represents Mozambique in the 44th edition of the Dakar Rally, is already in Saudi Arabia, a country in the Middle East.
The Dakar Rally starts next January in Jeddah, a coastal city in Saudi Arabia.
The mythical planetary Off Road competition ends on January 14.
The appearances of Mozambique in international events have earned Rodrigo Rocha for vice-president of the International Automobile Federation (FIA).
To celebrate the achievement, Mozambique is one of the candidates to host the African Karting and Drift championships.
Rocha said he believes that this is an opportunity for Mozambican pilots to celebrate the recognition that the country is getting at an international level.
