In Inhambane, close to six thousand readers have visited the Provincial Public Library this year to read the various works existing in this institution.
The number of people who visited the Provincial Public Library to read books far exceeds the number of readers of the first quarter of 2021, which was of one thousand and three hundred readers.
The coordinator of the Provincial Public Library of Inhambane Anacélia Paulo said that most of the readers are students.
Anacélia indicated that in order to inculcate the taste for reading within the children, the institution she coordinates carried out a movement in schools that consisted in the availability of children’s literature books.
Our reporter visited the Inhambane Provincial Library and talked to some readers who described the importance of reading books for the increase of knowledge, both academic and general.
On the occasion of the World Book and Copyright Day, celebrated this Saturday, several activities took place in Inhambane, with emphasis on the launching of some works and the promotion of reading fairs.
