The First Ladies of Africa are launching a campaign to support comprehensive education for all women who find it difficult to continue their studies.
The campaign called ‘WE ARE EQUAL’ is supported by the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD).
The initiative was launched in the country in January this year to support disadvantaged girls to continue their studies.
This time, it is Nigeria that is embracing the project, where it will be officially launched at the meeting of the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development, taking place from Monday in the Nigerian capital, Abuja.
The Mozambican President’s wife arrived on Sunday evening to take part in the meeting.
Isaura Nyusi will have the opportunity to share Mozambique’s experience of the initiative that is benefiting thousands of Mozambican girls.
The Forum of African First Ladies is an organisation that supports governments through advocacy.
According to a note from the Office of the First Lady of Nigeria, shared with the press, the campaign is based on creating alternatives for girls to enter universities.
