Tesla reported in March global deliveries of 184,800 units for the Model Y, 3, S and X. The American brand’s initial projections were for a range between 160,000 and 188,000 deliveries, which puts Tesla very close to the highest delivery forecast.
Furthermore, with this number the brand’s record of deliveries set in the fourth quarter of 2020 is broken, when 180,570 units were delivered. It is also the first time that Tesla has posted better first quarter numbers than the fourth quarter of the previous year.
The overwhelming majority of units delivered correspond to the Model 3 and Y, with 182,780, while the Model S and X account for 2,020 for the overall quarterly accounts. Production was 180,338 vehicles, but no Model S or X has been produced so far this year. The brand is now preparing updated versions of these two cars for delivery by the end of the year.
