The new version of the Santa Fe SUV from South Korean brand Hyundai takes on more modern and elegant forms and, best of all, it’s already in Mozambique.
Marketed by Ronil, the brand’s official distributor in the country, it comes onto the market with a bold campaign aimed at ‘breaking through the technical talk and describing the experience of driving the new Santa Fe’.
Under the slogan ‘New Horizons’, the new SUV promises to lead the national market to a new way of looking at the concept of travelling. ‘Manufacturing quality, technology, performance and safety have long been recognised by Mozambicans. We want a new, mature approach in which we recognise and celebrate the journey as something as important as the destination,’ explains Eric Vidal, Ronil’s marketing coordinator. ‘The new Hyundai Santa Fe is much more than an SUV. It’s about understanding the need for adventure, pushing boundaries and reaching new destinations. It’s the freedom to define ‘New Horizons’ and an invitation to a new era in automotive excellence,’ he described.
The new Hyundai Santa Fe is equipped with a 2.5 GDI engine, with a maximum torque of 246 nm and a power output of 191 cv that allows it to reach a top speed of 198 km/h
The Santa Fe comes with space for seven passengers, spread over three rows, top technology, new safety features. The new Hyundai has an HTRAC traction system and is 4WD, i.e. it has four-wheel drive (4×4), a feature that the previous model didn’t have and which is present in the two versions: Executive and Prestige. The latter has everything the Executive has and adds a digital rear-view mirror (with inbuilt camera), information projected onto the glass to assist the driver. It is also equipped with a rain sensor, wireless charging for two mobile phones at the same time, ventilated seats with automatic adjustment (and the possibility of temperature regulation), and a double panoramic roof.

It also has a dashboard with an infotainment system with 12.3-inch LCDs each, giving a total of 24.6 inches; an electric boot with four opening modes, ten charging points distributed throughout the car. It has a much higher performance than the previous version, with a 2.5 GDI engine with a maximum torque of 246 nm and a power output of 191 hp, which allows it to reach a top speed of 198 km/h.
It also has four driving modes – normal, eco, sport and smart – and three styles of terrain configuration: sand, mud and snow.
