Bugatti has officially presented to the public its race car, designated as ‘Le Bolide’. The vehicle costs four million euros, has an engine of 1 824 horse power and reaches 100 km per hour in only 2.17 seconds, according to the newspaper “El Economista” published this Sunday, 15 August.
The vehicle was baptized as ‘Le bolide’, which means ‘racing car’ in French began to be idealized during the ‘Quail Motorsports’ in California in 2020, a convention where motoring enthusiasts gather.
In 2020, this vehicle was first presented as an experimental hypercar concept, but until now it had not been made available to customers. After the event, Bugatti was invited by a large number of motoring enthusiasts to develop this experimental race car as a commercial vehicle.
‘Le Bolide’ is also equipped with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and four-wheel drive and has a weight of 1 450 kilograms. “We decided to make some race cars to give 40 customers the opportunity to experience this amazing vehicle,” says Bugatti president Stephan Winkelmann.
