Bentley Unveils Three-Car ‘Nicolaus Copernicus’ Collection Inspired by Sun, Earth and Moon

Bentley has unveiled the ‘Nicolaus Copernicus’ special collection, comprising three unique examples of the Continental GT S and Continental GTC S models, each inspired by the Sun, the Earth, and the Moon, and conceived as a tribute to the Polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus.

The collection was developed in partnership with Bentley Warsaw and includes two Continental GT S Coupés and one open-top Continental GTC S. The creative premise is rooted in Copernicus’s landmark work formulating the heliocentric theory, which placed the Sun at the centre of the solar system with the Earth and the other planets orbiting around it.

The first car, named ‘Sun’, is a Continental GTC S finished in Manuka Orange with black wheels. The cabin combines Gravity Grey and Orange leather, complemented by Copper Stone elements on the dashboard. A representation of the Earth and the Moon has been incorporated onto the rear of the headrests.

The second, ‘Earth’, is a Continental GT S Coupé painted in Nebula Blue, a shade developed exclusively for this vehicle. Inspired by the deep tones of the world’s oceans, the colour accentuates design features such as the widened rear wheel arches and wheel housings.

The third, ‘Moon’, wears a Moonstruck paint finish whose tones incorporate shades of pink, purple, and blue. The interior pairs Beluga and Ice leather and features a range of planetary-motif design elements throughout the cabin.

All three vehicles share an orbital pattern on the central console, drawn from Copernicus’s original diagram. The design depicts the orbits of Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

Despite their differing design treatments, the three cars share the same 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain producing 680hp, and are all fitted with 22-inch black wheels.
