Vodacom Mozambique will present 5G-based solutions targeting both businesses and consumers at FACIM 2026, with its participation centred on digital transformation, innovation, productivity and digital inclusion in the country.
According to a statement from the operator, 5G technology will be the centrepiece of its stand throughout the seven days of the Maputo International Trade Fair, delivered through practical demonstrations, interactive experiences and knowledge-sharing sessions.
The company intends to illustrate how next-generation connectivity can be applied across different areas of the economy, ranging from real-time collaboration between teams and organisations to business operations management, digital payments and consumer-facing solutions. 'Through practical demonstrations, interactive experiences and knowledge sharing, visitors will be able to discover how this technology can increase productivity, drive innovation and accelerate digital inclusion,' Vodacom said in the statement.
The operator's programme also includes sessions dedicated to digital lifestyle, financial services through M-Pesa, small and medium enterprise case studies, and digital transformation solutions for organisations.
Vodacom said its presence at FACIM will not be limited to showcasing technology, but will seek to demonstrate how digital solutions can address concrete challenges faced by businesses and consumers. 'The real value of technology lies not in the technology itself, but in what it makes possible. 5G opens the way to new ways of working, entrepreneurship, innovation and generating impact,' said Vodacom Mozambique Chief Executive Simon Karikari, as quoted in the statement.
Karikari added that the operator intends to give visitors a more tangible sense of the technology's potential during the fair. 'At FACIM we want to make that potential tangible, through experiences that allow people to discover how next-generation connectivity can accelerate development and create new opportunities for Mozambique,' he said.
Beyond the technology demonstrations, Vodacom will operate a retail store and M-Pesa agents on the fairground, enabling visitors to purchase products, sign up for services and conduct financial transactions.
The operator also announced promotions, prizes, giveaways and handset offers valid during the fair period. FACIM 2026 is being held under the theme 'Digital and Energy Transformation: Towards a Sustainable Economy' and brings together companies, investors, and public and private institutions to present products, services and investment opportunities.
According to Vodacom, its participation is part of a strategy to contribute to a 'more dynamic, intelligent and connected' economy through expanding access to digital technologies and developing solutions for businesses and consumers.
