Xiaomi on Wednesday, 23 September unveiled its latest flagship smartphone series, introducing the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, both powered by a new processor from American multinational technology company Qualcomm and equipped with dual 200-megapixel camera sensors.
Among the key innovations highlighted at the launch are an improved rear display panel in the camera module area and a privacy feature similar to the one introduced by Samsung on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The technology limits the visibility of on-screen content to individuals viewing the device from certain angles.
Xiaomi also disclosed display specifications for the new devices. Both the Xiaomi 18 Pro and the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max achieve a peak brightness of 4,500 nits.
On battery capacity, the Xiaomi 18 Pro is equipped with a 7,000 mAh cell, while the Pro Max variant carries an 8,500 mAh battery. Both models are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 Pro processor, which Qualcomm unveiled as part of the same launch event. The camera system includes a 200-megapixel primary sensor and a 200-megapixel telephoto lens.
According to information published by GSMArena, the new smartphones are available in black, blue, and white. In the first instance, sales are limited to the Chinese market.
Xiaomi did not confirm at the time of the launch when it intends to make the new models available in international markets. Further details on specifications, pricing, and availability were disclosed during the presentation event held on 23 September.
