This Friday, 8 December, the National Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (INTIC) is holding the third edition of the National Internet Governance Forum 2023 (FGIMz2023) and, in parallel, the first Youth Forum on Internet Governance in Mozambique (yFGIMz).
According to the INTIC press release made public today, the Forum, under the theme “For an Accessible, Inclusive, Secure and Resilient Internet”, will serve as a national articulation and coordination mechanism for the implementation of policies and strategic plans related to the Information Society, Cyber Security and Digital Transformation.
The document also reveals that policies and strategies for the development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), cyber security, digital certification, regulation of digital and Internet service providers and other issues pertinent to the accessibility, inclusion, coverage and costs of digital and Internet services in Mozambique will be discussed. The event will also contribute to consultation on legal instruments and regulations in preparation, such as proposals for cyber security and data protection laws.
The Youth Sub-Forum on Internet Governance is organised with the aim of stimulating the engagement of this age group in discussions related to Internet Governance in order to guarantee a sustainable digital future that meets local, regional and global needs.
