Yahoo Financia has come forward with the news that Facebook is now worth $1 billion, a level that Mark Zuckerberg’s company is reaching for the first time in its history.
This valuation of Facebook is related to the decision by a US federal judge not to go ahead with an investigation in relation to the Instagram and WhatsApp acquisitions.
Facebook’s market value is still not on par with other tech companies like Apple or Microsoft but, it is worth remembering, Zuckerberg’s company is the only one on the list worth $1 billion to have been created in the 2000s.
