The IT company BCX Mozambique announced the strengthening of its investment in the local public cloud, a solution aimed at accelerating digital transformation in the country by offering data storage and processing services with national sovereignty, enhanced security, and costs adapted to the reality of Mozambican businesses.
The announcement was made by Luís Enoque, Marketing and Sales Director at BCX, during the BFSI Mozambique Forum. He highlighted that the company — with 20 years of presence in the national market — has been working to create infrastructures that address the challenges of cloud adoption in Mozambique. One of the main initiatives is AlpCloud (African Local Public Cloud), developed in partnership with global giant Alibaba Cloud.
According to Enoque, AlpCloud’s main advantages include data localization in Mozambique, payment in local currency, local technical support, and guaranteed digital security and sovereignty. “Many organizations still face obstacles such as unclear regulations and difficulties making payments abroad. Our proposal offers a viable and competitive alternative for businesses and public institutions,” he said.
In addition to public cloud services, BCX also provides private clouds for institutions that require greater control over their data, as well as cloud computing training services through partnerships with Mozambican universities. The company also launched the BANX platform, developed in partnership with Ateneus, offering banking services in an “as-a-service” model for microfinance institutions, enabling greater financial inclusion with reduced costs and immediate scalability.
With operations in five countries and over 300 clients in Mozambique, BCX positions itself as one of the country’s leading technology integrators, pursuing a strategy that combines local infrastructure, technological innovation, and national capacity building to drive the digital economy.
Present in Mozambique since 2005, BCX is a subsidiary of the South African group Telkom, specializing in technology solutions and system integration.
