African startups are invited to apply for the Commonwealth Startup Fellowship 2026/2027, a six-month programme designed to help high-potential startups from low- and middle-income Commonwealth countries scale their businesses, attract investment, and create jobs.
Administered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in partnership with Imperial College London, the fellowship combines in-person experiences with online learning, with the aim of equipping founders with advanced business skills, international networks, and practical strategies for business growth.
By the end of the programme, participants are expected to have strengthened their capacity to scale their businesses, pitch their ventures confidently to investors, and increase their economic impact in their home countries.
The fellowship includes a two-week bootcamp in Accra, Ghana, and a Capstone Week in London, United Kingdom. Selected candidates will be entitled to travel expenses, accommodation, and living costs during the Accra bootcamp, as well as flights, accommodation, and subsistence expenses in the United Kingdom. The programme also includes a non-refundable grant of approximately US$2,700 to support business costs or expenses related to participation in the programme.
The initiative offers founders access to entrepreneurship training, mentorship, investor networks, and international exposure, creating conditions to accelerate the growth of their businesses.
