Meta, the parent company of Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram, has expanded its AI service, “Meta AI,” to 12 countries beyond the United States.
Meta announced that its new AI is now the most intelligent AI assistant available for free, and it’s accessible in more countries across their apps.
Among these countries are Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Uganda and several others.
“We’re rolling out Meta AI in English in more than a dozen countries outside of the US. Now, people will have access to Meta AI in Australia, Canada, Ghana, Jamaica, Malawi, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe—and we’re just getting started,”
“Thanks to our latest advances with Meta Llama 3, Meta AI is smarter, faster and more fun than ever before,” the company stated.
According to the technological behemoth, since its introduction at last year’s Connect event, Meta AI has transformed into a versatile tool seamlessly integrated into users’ everyday routines.
The rollout, currently available in English, is geared towards boosting connections and providing users with innovative, expressive, and productivity tools directly within these widely-used apps.
Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, said, “With our expansion of Meta AI in English to new countries, we are excited to share our next-generation assistant with even more people and make it work for you by providing real-time information through our seamless search integration in the apps you know and love.”
With Meta AI integrated into feeds, chats, searches, and more across their apps, users can accomplish tasks and access real-time information without needing to exit the app.
