The Zambezi Valley Development Agency has available around 700 million meticais to support Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) under the second edition of the catalytic fund, in the country.
The initiative is funded by the World Bank and according to “Radio Mozambique”, aims to connect small producers and small and medium enterprises to the agricultural value chain, strengthening their knowledge and creating market opportunities.
However, the interim coordinator of the catalytic fund, Gerson Nunes, said that the initiative aims to improve the capacity of national companies to access the global market.
The representative of the Manica Business Council at the event Célia Ribeiro said that the catalytic fund is an opportunity to leverage companies.
Stressing that the Catalytic Fund for Innovation and Demonstration has as its areas of coverage the Zambezi Valley Region, including the Beira Corridor, Nacala Corridor and Maputo Corridor, in the Ponta de Ouro route, it also opens space to improve the capacity to access markets.
