Gapi and Mozparks have just announced an investment agreement aimed at promoting the incubation of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and development of cognitive management skills of companies through a Centre for Entrepreneurial Development and Innovation (CDEI).
The project, according to the Chairman of the Executive Committee (ECP) of Gapi, Adolfo Muholove, will contribute to the socio-economic development of the country through the promotion of MSMEs and capacity building of human resources.
“The vectors of action contemplate, but are not limited to incubation, training, research and business studies, organisation of training academies in business management and solidarity economy,” explained Adolfo Muholove.
For his part, the Chairman of the Board of MozParks, Adrian Frey, said at the signing that the vision of this partnership is to support all large projects with industrial parks.
“This partnership with Gapi meets one of our objectives, which is to create human capacity in the parks. We are in the process of expanding to Tete and we have a project to build a park in Balama, to work with the graphite exporting companies in that area and in Montepuez,” said Adrian Frey.
However, the director of the Capacity Building and Business Consultancy centre (CCE), Ivandro Bauaze, said that the training programmes which include obtaining diplomas with academic validity, will initially be provided in partnership with universities and higher institutes in Mozambique and other countries.
“The courses for this level will be modular and based on the academic credit system,” said Bauaze.
