As part of the celebrations for Mozambican Women’s Day on 7 April, several women from the business world met last Friday (05/04/24) in Maputo to discuss business opportunities and the challenges they face.
On the occasion, the vice-president of the CTA, Maria Abdula, welcomed the commitment of women to fight for integration into the business world, which can be seen in the growing number of small and medium-sized enterprises run by women, which stands at 60 per cent, despite the barriers to accessing finance, which is still one of the “Achilles heels”, if not the main one for women entrepreneurs in the country.
One of the highlights of the event was the photographic exhibition organised by four young people from the province of Cabo Delgado, on various issues that are currently a concern, such as war, gender-based violence, the importance of sharing, among others.
The conference was organised by CTA in partnership with Mozbusiness.
