Mozambican President Daniel Chapo is optimistic that Parliament will approve the Economic Plan and the State Budget next week, both of which are considered fundamental for the full implementation of the government’s activities.
During the inauguration ceremony on Tuesday (15) of the new building that houses the Provincial Directorates of Planning and Finance and Territorial Development and Environment, in Inhambane, Chapo said: “We will have more financial availability to continue fulfilling our obligations as a state. And one of those obligations is this [here]: to build buildings where our civil service colleagues can work in better conditions.”
According to the President, this inauguration embodies the government’s commitment to improving public services and administrative infrastructure.
Among the main priorities outlined by the Executive for the new budget cycle are the extension of the drinking water and electricity supply networks, the rehabilitation of access roads, reinforcing the availability of medicines in health units and improving working conditions for civil servants.
