The 109th Session of the International Labour Conference is being held this Thursday, June 3, and for the first time in its history, it will be held virtually, reflecting the changes imposed by the covid-19 crisis.
Mozambique will be represented by a tripartite delegation composed of Government, Workers and Employers representatives.
The work in plenary will begin on June 7 and will be led by the President of the Swiss Confederation. The Director-General of the International Labor Organization (ILO), Guy Ryder, and the President of the Governing Body will also present their reports, which will cover two years.
Conference agenda items include a special outcome paper on the ILO Response to covid-19, the ILO program and budget for 2022-23, the recurring discussion on Social Protection and consideration of reports on the application of International Labor Standards during the pandemic and related country case discussions.
The 109th session of the annual ILC was postponed from 2020 to this year by the ILO Governing Body as a consequence of the covid-19 pandemic.
