Mozambique says it is satisfied with the results obtained at the second stage of the first familiarisation visit, under the regional tourism project, called TRILAND.
On the 17th and 18th of the current month, tourism operators from Mozambique, South Africa and Essuatíni exchanged experiences, in Maputo, as part of the re-launching of the tourism sector in the region.
The director-general of the National Tourism Institute, Marco dos Anjos, said he hoped the TRILAND project would finally move on to the execution stage.
The three countries agree that, for the success of the TRILAND project, the challenges that still persist must be removed in each of them, such as access roads and the standardisation and simplification of service at borders.
The tourism authorities and tourism operators from Mozambique, South Africa and Essuatíni also worked in Ponta Machangulo, Ponta Santa Maria and Inhaca Island.
The third and last stage of this first familiarization visit, under the TRILAND project, will take place between today, Friday and tomorrow, Saturday (19 and 20 August). The South African province of Mpumalanga will be the host province.
