Mozambique will take part in the 4th edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, which will be held in Turkey from Friday 11 April. According to a statement, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Maria Lucas, will be at the meeting representing Mozambican President Daniel Chapo.
The Forum is an initiative of the Turkish government, which aims to promote international dialogue by promoting debates around global issues related to poverty, immigration, democracy, climate change, energy security, racism and the fight against discrimination.
The meeting, which will be attended by heads of state, government representatives, parliamentarians, diplomats and opinion-makers from various countries, is being held under the slogan ‘Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World’.
According to the press release, the Mozambican diplomat will give a speech during a round table on the theme of ‘Africa’s Growing Role in World Politics’.
Maria Lucas will be accompanied by the Mozambican ambassador to Turkey, Santos Álvaro, and the director for Europe and America at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, César Gouveia.
