President Daniel Chapo will make a working visit to Angola at the end of this week, where he will meet with businesspeople and representatives from the public and private sectors, as part of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
According to a statement from the Angolan Association of Banks (ABANC), which is organizing an official dinner in honor of the Mozambican president’s visit, the meeting aims to promote economic dialogue, boost cross-investment, and strengthen ties between the strategic sectors of both nations, with a particular focus on banking, agriculture, industry, and mining.
The ceremony, which will be officially opened by ABANC President Mário Nascimento and closed by Chapo, will be attended by the Mozambican delegation, representatives of the Angolan government, businesspeople, public and private sector representatives, members of the diplomatic corps, and banking executives, among other institutional guests.
“This dinner is more than just a protocol event. It is a platform for economic dialogue and cooperation between Angola and Mozambique. The banking sector plays a key role in financing regional development, and at this meeting, we aim to strengthen mutual trust, generate new partnerships, and actively contribute to building a more integrated and sustainable economic future for our countries,” said the president of ABANC, as quoted in the press release.
According to the document, the banking entity aims to reaffirm its commitment to promoting regional economic cooperation, African financial integration, and building bridges for development between the two countries.
