Max Tonela Met With His Japanese Counterpart

On Tuesday, November 22nd, Mr. Yasutoshi Nishimura, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with Mr. Tonela, Minister of Economy and Finance of Mozambique. 

Nishimura explained the importance of the LNG project in Mozambique in which Japan is involved, and exchanged views on stabilizing and improving the investment environment and strengthening bilateral cooperation. In addition, they confirmed that they will continue to work together to deepen the economic relationship between the two countries.

A Mozambican government delegation headed by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Max Tonela, is working in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, until Thursday, 24 November, where it will hold meetings with public and private sector officials.

The delegation includes the Minister of Transport and Communications, Mateus Magala, and staff from the Ministries of Economy and Finance and of Transport and Communications.
