PM Calls for More Investment to Diversify Least Developed Countries’ Economies

The Prime Minister, Adriano Maleiane, considered on Sunday, March 5th, that the aid for development and trade should serve as a mechanism to increase the involvement of the business sector of the least developed countries in the global value chain.

Speaking in Doha, Qatar, on the sidelines of the 5th United Nations Conference on the “Least Developed Countries”, the Mozambican leader called for more investments to improve services in various sectors, as a way to diversify the economy of African countries, some of which are developing.

Adriano Maleiane considered that the involvement and active participation of the private sector of each country, as well as the foreign business community, is fundamental.

The 5th United Nations Conference on the “Least Developed Countries” aims to reach an agreement for the establishment of a renewed partnership between them and their development partners, in order to achieve the internationally agreed development goals.
