Mozambique Wants to Promote Exhibitions to Attract International Investors

The Mozambican government plans to promote a cycle of international exhibitions to expose its potential in agribusiness, industry and infrastructure to attract more investors.

To kick off the initiative, the Minister of Industry and Trade, Silvino Moreno, held this Thursday, May 4, a virtual meeting with the diplomatic representation of Argentina in Mozambique under the theme “Business and Investment”.

According to the national director for Foreign Trade, Claire Zimba, present at the meeting, “the initiative aims to gradually reduce imports. If we look at the national industry, we have identified three strategic pilot areas: the implementation and expansion of industrial parks, the transformation by adding value to agricultural resources, but also minerals, with which we understand that we can make that competitive advantage as a country,” explained the leader, quoted by Radio Mozambique.

The source also indicated that the meeting between Mozambique and Argentina opens space for the first investment and business forum between the two countries.
