The Mozambican government approved on Tuesday, April 30, minimum wage adjustments in the country, with a rate ranging from 3% to 10.53%, announced the deputy minister of Labour and Social Security, Rolinho Manuel Farnela.
The readjustment, which will come into effect in April, covers eight sectors of activity and is the result of a proposal by the Labour Consultative Commission, Rolinho Manuel Farnela said after a meeting of the Council of Ministers in Maputo.
“The minimum points made public are not the desirable ones, but the possible ones, taking into account the current economic and social situation in our country,” said the deputy minister.
