Government and EU Promote Debate on Economy, Trade and Investment

The government and the European Union (EU) are holding the 3rd Sector Dialogue on Economy, Trade and Investment this Friday, 22 March, in the northern province of Nampula.

According to a press release, the event will take place on the theme of “Promoting Trade Facilitation, Investment and Economic Partnership”, and will be led by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Silvino Moreno and the EU ambassador to Mozambique, Antonino Maggiore.

“The EU delegation will include ambassadors, business representatives and representatives of the bloc’s member states,” the document states.

The Sector Dialogue is a mechanism set up to boost, simplify and strengthen commercial and economic cooperation, especially in view of the opportunities available under the Economic Partnership Agreement in force between the two parties.

“On the sidelines of the event, a Mozambique-EU Business and Investment round table is planned,” the note concludes.
