The Mozambican Tax Authority recovers nearly 100 million meticais, evaded in tax evasion schemes in Zambezia.
The recovery of the amount occurred under the National Taxpayer Caravan, underway in the country since January, as explained by the delegate of the Tax Authority in Zambezia, Ambrósio Urdal.
“They were not paying taxes. We considered them to be in default and they had false addresses, but with the work we are doing, we have penalised fourteen companies,” he said.
The Tax Authority Delegate in Zambezia also appealed to citizens to the need to obtain the NUIT (Número Único de Identidade Tributária).
