The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, will today present the annual information on the general situation of the nation in Parliament, indicates a communiqué of the Presidency of the Republic.
“The communication from the President of the Republic is in line with article 159 b of the Constitution of the Republic, according to which the Head of State, in the exercise of his function, shall inform the Assembly of the Republic annually on the general situation of the nation”, the communiqué states.
Among other points, it is expected that during the session, scheduled for 09:00, Filipe Nyusi will highlight the challenges imposed by covid-19, at a time when the country accounts for a total of 144 deaths and 17,042 cases, of which 88% are reported as recovered.
