Diário Económico Surpasses 615,000 Readers by April and Strengthens Qualified Audience in Mozambique and Globally

Diário Económico began 2026 on a path of sustained growth, reaching 617,000 active users in the first months of the year, of which 550,000 were new users, confirming the expansion of its readership base.

Beyond scale, the data highlights a qualified audience aligned with the platform’s premium positioning. In terms of profile, the audience is predominantly male (62.3%), while still maintaining a significant share of female users (37.7%), with growth observed across both segments.

From an age perspective, Diário Económico is particularly strong among groups with higher decision-making power and economic influence, notably the 25–34 and 35–44 age segments, followed by the 45–54 bracket, reinforcing its presence among active professionals, managers, and decision-makers.

In terms of interests, areas directly linked to the economic and business sphere stand out, such as business and politics, technology, banking and finance, alongside cross-cutting themes like lifestyle and mobility, reflecting an informed, decision-oriented audience.

Global audience

Geographically, the audience maintains a strong base in Maputo (79,000 users), Beira, and Nampula, while also showing an increasingly relevant international presence, particularly in cities such as Lisbon, Oslo, Dublin, and Amsterdam, as well as growing traction in strategic markets like China (with a notable readership concentration in Lanzhou), the United States, and South Africa.

This geographic spread reflects the growing interest in Mozambican economic content beyond the country’s borders, particularly among the diaspora, investors, consultants, and decision-makers with exposure to the Mozambican market. The circulation of credible economic information across these geographies thus plays a strategic role by enhancing the country’s international visibility, strengthening transparency in its business environment, and supporting investment decision-making processes.

In this context, Diário Económico positions itself as a relevant channel in promoting Mozambique internationally, bringing the country closer to major global economic and financial decision-making centers.

More than 2.7 million ad views

In terms of advertising performance, the period recorded more than 2.7 million ad impressions, representing an 83% increase compared to 2024, confirming the platform’s ability to generate relevant and measurable visibility for brands and advertisers.
