All stock market indicators showed an upward trend in the last quarter of 2022. In comparison with the previous quarter, the number of listed securities (+12.1%), the growth in turnover (+28.3%) and the liquidity index (+11.8%) were outstanding. The evolution of market capitalisation and of its ratio to GDP reached double-digit growth, that is, +15.3% in both cases.
Market capitalisation increased from 126.105 million MT to 164.287 million MT (+30,3%), a ratio of market capitalisation to GDP that went from 18,9% to 24,05% (+27,2%), a turnover that went from 12.058 million MT to 16. 669 million MT (+38.2%), a liquidity ratio that increased from 9.56% to 10.15% (+6.2%), total funding to the economy that rose from 220,354 million MT to 271,584 million MT (+23.2%), and the number of securities and holders in the Central de Valores Mobiliários rose from 208 to 239 securities (+14.9%) and from 23,613 to 24,763 holders (+4.9%) respectively.
