This Thursday (18), Maputo City will host the first edition of the E&M-PWC Mozambique Banking Forum, with the theme “Banking and the Challenges of ESG and Digital Transition in Mozambique”. This is an innovative programme that takes place annually in Portugal and Angola, and which is coming to Mozambique for the first time.
The initiative is organised by Media4Development, owner of Economia & Mercado magazine and the Diário Económico and 360º Mozambique portals, in partnership with PwC Mozambique.
The event, which will take place at the Polana Hotel, will feature speakers from the CEOs of the main banks in the Mozambican financial market, including Banco Comercial e de Investimentos (BCI), Millennium bim, Standard Bank, First National Bank (FNB), Nedbank and Access Bank.
The speakers will conduct constructive dialogues on the best practices and strategies to adopt in the face of the new paradigms of sustainable development and digitalisation in Mozambique’s financial industry, with an impact on the entire national economy.
“This event, which aims to mark the agenda of the main moments of reflection and debate throughout 2024, will address the ESG imperatives and the intrinsic challenges of the digital transition in Mozambique, reflecting on its impact on the country’s economic and financial fabric,” the statement said.
