Last Thursday (11 July), First National Bank (FNB) inaugurated its new facilities in the city of Tete, Tete province. According to a statement, this milestone reinforces the bank’s commitment to providing a superior banking experience for more than three million residents in the region.
According to the information, the new branch, located on Avenida Eduardo Mondlane, was designed with a modern and spacious design, occupying a total area of 616 m², of which 256 m² are reserved for personalised service. “This space was designed to offer a fast, personalised and accessible service experience, complying with all accessibility requirements,” reads the statement.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Sérgio Chitará, chairman of the board of directors of the FNB, accompanied by the councillor for Finance, Arnaldo Morais, representing the Municipality of Tete. Also present were representatives of the Bank of Mozambique, the governor of the city of Tete, the Secretary of State, as well as the bank’s clients, partners and employees.

Sérgio Chitará expressed his satisfaction at the inauguration of the new branch, emphasising: “this is a significant milestone in our journey to offer better conditions and excellent service to our customers in Tete. More than just a place for banking transactions, this space reflects our commitment to being close to our customers and contributing to the region’s economic development,” he emphasised.
Arnaldo Morais, Finance Councillor, praised the FNB’s efforts to improve the urban infrastructure with modern facilities on the busy Avenida Eduardo Mondlane. “These new facilities not only strengthen our urban infrastructure, but are also an important investment in Tete’s economic and social development. FNB’s commitment is fundamental to driving the continued growth of this region, known for its diverse economic activities.”
“Located in the Francisco Manyanga neighbourhood, the new FNB branch is strategically positioned to efficiently meet the banking needs of the Tete community, promoting easy access to essential financial services,” the statement added.
