Standard Bank Announces Credit Line of Up to 2M Meticals for Civil Servants

Standard Bank Mozambique has just announced the existence of a financing line of up to 2 million meticals aimed at improving the well-being of civil servants in the country, “an exclusive offer that will provide interested parties with a fixed and competitive interest rate, with unique benefits”.

Called “Crédito Funcionário Publico”, the line will bring advantages and the possibility of access for any public sector worker, including those who don’t have a bank account, benefiting from a flexible payment period of up to 72 months.
“Civil servants who have loans with other financial institutions have the opportunity to transfer them to Standard Bank, so that they can take advantage of the benefits offered by this credit line,” the organisation explained in a statement.

In the document, the bank added that it will promote financial education sessions in various state institutions, in which all the characteristics of the credit will be explained in detail, providing personalised support to make it easier to take out the loan.

“Civil servants have complete freedom to use the value of the credit according to their needs, whether for personal projects such as home improvements, the purchase of consumer goods, including electronic equipment, or even for education and health-related expenses,” he explained.

According to the argument, this initiative reinforces “Standard Bank’s commitment to supporting the civil servant community in Mozambique, creating accessible and advantageous financial solutions to improve the quality of life and boost individual and collective development”.
