Moza Banco Launches FAMOZA Seal and New Financing Line for Women Entrepreneurs

On Thursday, August 28, Moza Banco launched the FAMOZA seal, an annual distinction that will recognize and reward business clients for using the institution’s digital tools to boost their businesses. The initiative, which values practices such as the use of POS and other payment solutions, aims to stimulate financial inclusion and strengthen the modernization of commercial operations in the country.

At the launch event, the bank also announced the creation of a special financing line dedicated to small businesses led by women, a measure that responds to the difficulties this group faces in accessing formal financial instruments.

On the occasion, Moza Banco’s Chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA), Manuel Soares, emphasized the importance of providing concrete support to this segment. “Women entrepreneurs are a group that deserves the support of the whole society. If it were not for their efforts and the daily sacrifice of going out to secure their families’ livelihood, the poverty situation in our country would be even worse. Recognizing that effort and creating conditions for them to access formal financing channels is not only an obligation, but an act of social justice,” he stated.

In addition to the credit component, the initiative includes business literacy programs designed to equip clients with tools to help them better manage their ventures. According to Manuel Soares, this support aims to reduce common risks in small business management. “Many entrepreneurs still confuse profit with revenue, and this kind of mistake can determine the discontinuation of their projects. Our goal is to ensure that clients have solid management foundations to transform their efforts into sustainable ventures,” he stressed.

The FAMOZA seal is part of a broader movement of innovation and market engagement, through which the bank has sought to link digitalization with the promotion of responsible practices. At the center of this positioning is the “Faz Acontecer” initiative, recently launched, which serves as an umbrella for a set of projects designed to transform the relationship between Moza Banco, its clients, and society.

With these new measures, the bank aims to strengthen its role not only as a provider of financial services but also as an active partner in promoting entrepreneurship, formalizing the economy, and fighting poverty. By rewarding entrepreneurs for using digital tools and supporting women who rely on street and market activities as their main source of income, Moza Banco seeks to position itself at the center of solutions that can generate real and lasting impact.
