Millennium bim has been recognised by Global Finance, the international banking and finance publication, with two awards — Best Digital Retail Bank in Mozambique and Best Digital Corporate Bank in Mozambique — as part of the magazine's 2026 International Digital Banking Awards.
According to a statement received by Diário Económico, the two distinctions recognise the quality of the digital solutions the bank has made available to individual and corporate clients, further reinforcing international acknowledgement of Millennium bim's work in the digital transformation of financial services.
The awards highlight the bank's digital strategy, its sustained investment in innovation, and its ability to deliver solutions that are increasingly simple, secure, accessible, and convenient for both retail and business customers.
The two new accolades join the Best Bank in Mozambique award, also conferred this year by Global Finance, as well as the Best Bank in Mozambique and Best Digital Bank in Mozambique prizes awarded by Euromoney. With these latest recognitions, Millennium bim now counts five international distinctions earned in 2026.

In assessing the prizes, Global Finance evaluated criteria including the strategy adopted to attract and serve customers through digital channels and the growth in the uptake of digital solutions.
The assessment also took into account the breadth of the offering, the tangible benefits of implemented initiatives, and the quality of the experience delivered through digital channels. Beyond recognising Millennium bim's track record, these distinctions reinforce, at an international level, the image of Mozambican banking and demonstrate the capacity of the bank's teams to develop innovative solutions aligned with international standards and client needs.
