Millennium bim Opens New Generation Branch in Tete

Millennium bim has reopened its branch in the city of Tete, located on Avenida 25 de Junho, now fully revamped and aligned with the Bank’s new customer service concept: more modern, digital, and focused on meeting the real needs of clients.

This reopening marks a new step in the Bank’s strategy to upgrade its branch network across the country, with spaces that are more functional, technologically advanced, and prepared for the future of banking.

With a key role in the energy, mining, agro-industry, and trade sectors, Tete stands out as a driver of national economic development. Aware of this potential, Millennium bim reaffirms its commitment to supporting the region’s growth by offering financial solutions tailored to local demands and opportunities.

The new branch is equipped with automated queue management systems, digital pricing displays, and a modern self-banking area with 24-hour access. These innovations provide greater convenience, security, and autonomy in banking operations, giving clients back time and efficiency.

According to Millennium bim’s Executive Committee President, Rui Pedro, “The city of Tete represents a major development hub, and it is with great enthusiasm that we bring this new branch concept to the province. This branch is more than a modern facility—it reflects our vision for the future and our daily commitment to being close to our clients.”

This is the sixth new-generation branch opened by Millennium bim, following similar inaugurations in Maputo (City), Boane (Maputo Province), Massinga (Inhambane), Quelimane (Zambezia), and Nampula. The Bank’s goal is to expand this concept to all provinces in the country.

Millennium bim currently serves around 1.3 million active clients through 200 branches nationwide and its digital platforms. Thanks to ongoing investments in digitalization, the Bank has over 930,000 digital clients, who carry out more than 200 million transactions annually via Internet and mobile banking.
