Moza Banco’s PCA, João Figueiredo, was once again distinguished by the “African Business Leadership Award”, this time with the “Inspiring Business Leadership in Africa” award in recognition of his leadership skills in a changing context.
According to a statement shared, the award was given by African Leadership Magazine, a renowned London-based pan-African publication that focuses on bringing the best of Africa to a global audience, seeking to develop solutions to peculiar challenges facing the continent today.
According to the publication, Moza Banco’s PCA earned this distinction for having “demonstrated a clear sense of purpose in his actions, having driven others to extraordinary performance.”
The official award ceremony is scheduled for July 4 in London and will be attended by Moza Banco.
“In its category, there were other nominees such as Afua Asabea Asare, CEO, Ghana Export Promotion Authority, Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, Managing Director, Fidelity Bank Nigeria, Abena Brigidi, CEO Nimed Capital Limited Ghana, and Hussein Abaza, CEO, Commercial International Bank (CIB), Egypt,” the document adds.
It is recalled that in February this year, Moza Banco’s PCA was awarded the “excellence in business management in Africa” award by the same publication, in recognition of his contribution to the growth and development of Moza Banco, in particular his role in the Bank’s recovery from a loss of 776 million meticals in 2019 to a profit of 146 million meticals in 2020.
