The FNB Mozambique bank (FNBM) inaugurated a new branch in Matola this Tuesday, 30 July, with the potential to benefit 1.5 million people after structural rehabilitation.
According to a statement from the financial institution, during the ceremony to inaugurate the infrastructure, FNB’s director, Nasser Meggi, highlighted the importance of the achievement, saying that this ‘rehabilitation is in line with our strategy to modernise our image and, above all, to invest in the capacity of our employees to better serve our customers and partners. It represents a significant milestone in our journey to offer improved conditions, convenience and excellent service,’ he said.
For her part, the director of Banco de Moçambique (BoM) – Matola branch – Paula Libombo, representing the institution’s governor, emphasised the importance of expanding financial services for financial inclusion in the country.
“The reopening of this branch aims to offer greater comfort and convenience to its users, raising the levels of financial inclusion and bankarisation of the economy. We hope that this branch will offer quality products and services, ever closer to its recipients, with a focus on creativity, innovation and advocacy,’ he emphasised.
In addition to Paula Libombo and Nasser Meggi, the inauguration ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Matola, Júlio Parruque, as well as other guests, clients and partners of the bank.
